Requisites of Sector Analysis & City Profile Report

In case kick-off workshop has not been conducted earlier, it is mandatory to conduct the workshop before the submission of 2nd stage workshop (except Morena).

Sector Analysis

The Consultants will interact with various stakeholder groups (meetings, workshops, focus group discussions, etc.) and review relevant publications, reports, GOs, resolutions, procedures, laws etc. to analyse the current situation in each of the sector identified. Must be mentioned:

  • Details of meetings with proper documentation (Details can be provided as annexure).
  • Separate annexure for reference.
  • Datas must have "source" mentioned along with them.

The sector analysis will be carried out by the consultants team in consultation with the local counterparts and it is recommended that the following be included:

  • Study of economic opportunity and potential for Local/regional economic development, with special reference to the poor.
  • Transport study with emphasis on low cost public transport and livelihoods.
  • Heritage conservation and Tourism.
  • Environmental Sustainability.
  • Access to housing, employment and social and environmental services by the poor.
  • Health and Education services gap in the town.
  • Sectoral Issues addressed under the Master Plan (as prepared by the TCPD).

All the components/ sectors mentioned in the Toolkit provided by UADD, GoMP must be included. There is a flexibility of providing additional information, but under no circumstances contents should be lessened.

City profile

The findings from the sector analysis will be used to prepare the City Profile consisting of the assessment of the existing situation in all the sectors identified, emerging issues, SWOT analysis and projection of the present gaps and future requirements. This will be done within the framework of parameters relating to demography, economic base, finance, physical and environmental issues, infrastructure, institutions and universalisation of services especially for the poor.

Norms and standards must be mentioned (CPHHEEO, UDPFI etc.).Incase of population projections, justification of using a particular method should be given.

It is expected that analysis would be supported with proper maps and photographs.
